About seven years ago I uploaded a video of my head being shaved before my temporary ordination. My friend filmed it and she uploaded it to my channel so I could use it for a different project, but when it quickly started gaining views I was curious to see how far it went. I had no idea there was such an online culture surrounding bald girls. Anyway, many years have passed and I want to start making videos in earnest and to use youtube as a space to express myself creatively. I think a lot of my subscribers are just into my head shaving and don't really care about what I'm currently doing. What do you think I should do?

I think what bothers me the most about YDHB is her general lack of empathy and compassion for ALR. If she can't bring herself to be fully kind and empathetic to a person like ALR, how is she ever going to treat people with severe mental illnesses, or abusers, etc.?
Like, I get it, people like to rag on ALR - but ALR is very clearly mentally ill and had a horrific and traumatizing childhood. And while that doesn't excuse ALR's (or anyone's) behavior, it should make it very easy for a mental health professional to approach her with compassion and kindness. That rant she went on about having a degree and being in med school like... jesus. I think she eventually apologized for that rant but oh my god. The fact that it happened in the first place is really concerning.
The therapist-client relationship is sacred in the actual practice of therapy and seeing her post about being "uncomfortable" at a client's house is so... careless and shitty. I could forgive this type of behavior if she was in like, undergrad, but in her own words, she's going to med school. These types of small careless acts can be incredibly detrimental to her clients who are already a vulnerable group of people and I can't imagine the kind of damage she is liable to do if she keeps this behavior up. YDHB: stop posting about clients online, full-stop. Don't mention them, don't complain about them, just don't. It can do nothing but hurt people.
I hope I'm wrong and she's a great clinician. I really do.
Sidenote: if you want to check out an actual therapist with a really good (and respectful to his clients) perspective on things, I recommend Psychology in Seattle. He's really interesting and genuinely informative about psychology, especially family systems theory!
